"Hello doctor"
"Bonjour docteur"
"hello Mrs Brown. What's the matter with you ?"
Bonjour Madame Brown, de quoi souffrez- vous (que vous arrive t-il) ?
"I have been feeling poorly for two days.
I think I am ill (or sick)"
 
 
"Je suis souffrante depuis 2 jours.
 
Je pense que je suis malade"
 
 To feel poorly , Ill ou sick
"Can you describe your symptoms ?"
"Pouvez-vous me décrire vos symptômes ?"
"Well, I feel sick. I even vomitted yesterday.
I shiver, I cough and I have a sore throat.
 
Do you think I caught a chill ?

 

 
"Eh Bien, j'ai mal au coeur. J'ai même vomi hier.
 
J'ai des frissons, je tousse et j'ai mal à la gorge.
 
Pensez-vous que j'ai pris froid ?
 
 To feel sick , to vomit , to shiver , to cough , a sore throat , to catch a chill.
"I see. And you seem to have (to run) a temperature (a fever) ?
 
Well let's check all this."

 

 

"Je vois. Et vous semblez avoir de la température (de la fièvre) ?"
 
Bon, vérifions tout cela."
 
To have (ou to run) a temperature (ou a fever).
 
The doctor feels Mrs Brown's pulse, sounds her chest, takes her blood pressure.
Then he examines her throat and her ears and takes her temperature.
 
 
Le docteur prend le pouls de Mme Brown, l'ausculte et prend sa tension.
 
 
Ensuite, il examine sa gorge , ses oreilles et il prend sa température

To feel someone's pulse , to sound someone's chest  to take someone's blood pressure

The doctor says : "Well Mrs Brown, it seems that you caught a chill indeed.
 
Don't worry, within a few days, this will just be a bad memory."
 
Le docteur dit : "Eh bien Madame Brown, on dirait bien que vous avez en effet attrapé froid.
 
Ne vous inquiétez pas, dans quelques jours, tout cela ne sera qu'un mauvais souvenir.
 
Then, the doctor writes out a prescription for drugs (or medicine) to be got at the chemist's.
 
Ensuite, le docteur écrit une ordonnance pour des médicaments, à aller chercher chez le pharmacien.
 
A prescription , drugs ou medicine , the chemist's.
